Welcome to FFA'24
The next International Workshop on Fixed Field Alternating Gradient Accelerators (FFA'24), will be held from 3rd September to 6th September, 2024, at Osaka University, Toyonaka, Osaka, Japan. In conjunction with FFA'24, we are also excited to host the FFA'24 School, providing an invaluable opportunity for attendees to deepen their understanding and expertise in the field. The FFA'24 School will take place from 1st September to 2nd September, 2024, at Kyushu University, Nishi-ku, Fukuoka, Japan.

FFA'24 workshop
Date: 3rd - 6th September, 2024

The workshop seeks to continue the development of fixed-field accelerators following research in Japan, North America and the UK and to extend the potential range of applications of FFA accelerators. The format will be invited and contributed talks interspersed with periods of focused discussion.
FFA'24 is basically for in-person participation only. Special permission may be granted for those who wish to participate online, after discussion with the local organizing committee.
Topics
Topics of interest of the workshop include, but are not limited to, the following:
- • Status reports of existing FFA accelerators and plans for future updates
- • Hardware developments
- • Applications - known, under development and new possibilities
In addition to these, we plan to have special sessions on the following topics:
- • New PRISM-FFA project for muon physics
- • Heavy ion acceleration in FFAs
- • ERIT-FFAs for new particle/energy generation
- • FFAs for Muon collider projects
- • Outcomes from KURNS-FFAs
We aim to broaden the use of FFAs and welcome scientists who believe FFAs might benefit their projects. We encourage those with fresh ideas to join and contribute to the current FFA community.
